Our Story
Norm and Tracy Urban started Parenting Concepts from their kitchen table
in 1987. Their pediatrician, Dr. William
Sears had helped them find a solution
for parenting their fussy baby, Mathew,
by wearing him in a sling. Tracy, with
Mathew in her baby sling, was stopped
constantly by people wanting to
know where they could get their own baby
sling. So, Tracy purchased a few
carriers from Dr. Sears and began
selling them as people inquired. Then,
Norm went to work full-time at Parenting Concepts using
his marketing and advertising background to help us
grow. And grow it did! The business grew until it
required a commercial location.
Nearly 20 years later in December of 2006, Parenting Concepts sold the brand
SlingEZee® to Baby
Holdings of Cypress, Texas.
We are still selling the SlingEZee Baby Sling
because we believe that wearing your baby is one of the
best things you can do for your baby!

husband, Norm. We are a family operation and we are here to serve
